Dear Albion Country Club Members,
It is an absolute pleasure and honor to serve as the president of Albion Country Club. There truly is nothing like it in Nebraska. I can say that with some authority, having grown up outside the Albion area. The level of pride among the members of this club not only is admirable — it’s incredibly contagious. Case in point: The 2022 golf season.
Thank you to Jon Perone and Tyler Rolf. During your three years on the board, you brought unmatched energy and passion to improving Albion Country Club (ACC). Through all the ups and downs, you consistently demonstrated leadership, positivity, and hard work. The club is better for your service.
We are excited to have Emily Olson and Anthony Michael join the board. By lending us expertise from their personal successes, they strengthen an already talented and passionate board.
Bryan and Theresa continue to outdo themselves, both in the standards they set at ACC and in their handling of any and every situation. Whether it’s member-guest, couples night or a regular round of golf, Bryan and Theresa are there to provide the best possible environment. The amount of care they put into their work is evidenced by their outcomes and the feedback the board continuously receives.
While Scott and Megan have decided to pursue other opportunities, we cannot overlook their accomplishments in 2022. The food and the environment were fantastic; even more, they improved the kitchen and achieved the most successful balance sheet the clubhouse has ever seen. We will miss them greatly, and we wish them well.
As you may know, the weather of the past few years has made upkeep of golf courses very challenging. Although many courses in the area did not recover well from the harsh winter, ACC was lucky to have Aaron Allgood focused on improving the course. Against long odds, Aaron was able to get the course back in excellent shape. Not only is the course in great condition, but he continues to think outside the box to make a variety of other improvements.
The board and myself, along with our fantastic staff, will continue to pursue excellence at ACC in 2023.
Truly, I am incredibly proud of ACC and thankful for the opportunity to serve. The only thing that is
constant, is change. And we will obviously see some changes in 2023. But change can lead to growth and
opportunity and we will embrace it with an open mind.
Ryan Stagemeyer
ACC Board President
