Dear Members,
The wild year of 2020 has come and gone and 2021 is here. ACC committees are busy planning an eventful year. Great support from all the members make all of them go well, whether it be maintenance or a patio football party.
Everyone needs to thank Jon Petersen and Peg Pfeifer for all the work they did on the ACC board the last three years. We welcome Wes Bellar, Betsy Niewohner, and Ryan Stagemeyer to the board. They will be an asset to the board.
All members need to thank Christy, Scott, and Bryan for making the Albion Country Club one of the best clubs around.
Christy and her staff work hard to serve you, whether you are in the bar or in the dining area. They have great food and drinks so continue to support the clubhouse.
New to the course this year is our Golf Course Superintendent, Aaron Allgood, please welcome him as he starts the 2021 season with us.
Bryan spends hours managing tournaments, leagues, fun nights and all the activities. If you need to up your game, stop in the Pro Shop and talk to Bryan. He will give you the time you need.
The clubhouse has undergone some remodeling in the lounge with new flooring, new paint, as well as tables and chairs to create a comfortable and relaxing club environment. We would like to thank all of the members who helped contribute to this project, especially Roger Ternus, for going above and beyond for the Club.
On the course we have created the 2021 Arbor project that included 50 new trees and 17 moved trees off of our nursery. This project gives the course a new ambience and challenge for our golfers. Once again we would like to thank those who contributed to the project!
With the support of all the members in 2020, we can continue to have one of the best country clubs in the state!
Cheers to 2021!
Chris Borer, ACC Board President
